I am not a politician, I am a working-class man who has spent his entire life working just to be able to get back to work. I've never been rich, at least not the money kind, anyway.
The life I've lived allows me to see how truly impoverished our civilization has become. We've got classic poverty, and we've also got 'the new poverty.' The new poverty is embodied in those insatiable fools with more material wealth than ancient kings who still want more.
We used to call those people rich, but isn't true material wealth knowing you have enough? I'm not interested in taking what they have, I'm interested in stopping them from taking what little we have left.
Money has become more powerful than the people who have it. The undue influence of the dollar is leading us to ruin.
I understand that the challenges we face are not going to be solved overnight, but as your Senator, I will work tirelessly to advocate for policies that help create a better future for all of us.

My life hasn't been an easy one. I've worked as a ranch hand, a CNA, a cook, a contractor, and a Detention Officer. I've had to work hard for everything I've achieved. When I say that, I mean I've broken my bones, dislocated my joints, and been exposed to all manner of toxic crap to make other people a lot more money than I ever took home.
I know what it's like to struggle and I know how to fight for what I believe in. I have the scars to prove it. That's why I'm running for Senate. I want to make a difference in the lives of ordinary people.

Never Stop Learning
As a candidate, I bring an atypical background to the table. I studied philosophy, psychology, and history in college, but left early to pursue a once-in-a-lifetime business opportunity. Needless to say, that didn't go so well. I've walked away from more money than I've made because my honor and decency mean more to me than making a buck. I'm not for sale, and I never have been. Ask my wife. It's been a hard road.
Though I didn't pursue the traditional path of a politician, I have never stopped educating myself and staying informed on the issues that matter most to our community and humanity at large. It is the height of stupidity to think we can truly benefit at the expense of others. By now, I think we can recognize that those who follow the traditional path of the politician are not to be trusted.

Time For a Change
I'm sick of hearing about "working across the aisle." The biggest donors fund "both sides" of every election, and the policy outcomes are determined by those dollars. A safe seat politician in a single party dominant district or state can act out a certain number of betrayals and keep their job. Party zealots will bend over backwards to justify their actions.
Our current two-party system is a complete joke, and it is the laughing stock of the world. Ever hear someone say that "serious people" think something about American politics? We should stop taking these "serious people" seriously.

Be Involved, Stay Involved. Your Voice, My Vote.
As a candidate for Senate, I believe that my responsibility is to represent the people, not special interests or party lines.
I mean that. We can all see where that's leading us.
My goal is to listen to the voices of my constituents and take on the issues that matter most to them. While I have a set of beliefs and values that drive me, I believe that my decisions on important votes should be influenced by the residents of our state in real time. This isn't about winning the next election, but about making lasting changes that benefit generations to come. On our present course, we'll be lucky to survive this century.

I Didn't Ask for This.
I'm not a politician. I'm just a person who got pulled into this because people believe I can make a difference. I'm running on a platform that's about more than just being different from my opponents. My campaign is about helping people and addressing the issues facing our state, our country, and the entire world.
If we don't get this right, we are going to die.
Needless to say, I've come to make peace with death. As much as it pains me to know I can't promise my kids that they will live to be adults, this right here is all I can do to try.
